Local Physicians Complete Surgical Training with
Robotic Arm Technology
Jacksonville, NC - Dr. Takey Crist and Dr. Marshall Webb, both of the Crist Clinic for Women, recently became the first two surgeons at Onslow Memorial Hospital in Jacksonville to complete their 20th da Vinci® case. This is truly an honor for Dr. Webb and Dr. Crist to have completed this training, as it required much hard work and dedication. Their work began just a few months ago with a personal commitment to complete da Vinci® training and progress through the robotic learning curve.
The da Vinci® Surgical System is a breakthrough technology that gives patients safer, less invasive options than open-incision surgery. It is appropriate for more types of procedures than laparoscopy too. Drs. Crist and Webb attended classes at East Carolina University over the past year to learn the complete system and become a select few of OBGYNs locally to offer this advanced technology to their patients.
