Our Clinic

The Crist Clinic for Women has been located in Jacksonville, North Carolina since 1974, meeting and serving the needs for women. Dr. Takey Crist is Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology is an Assistant Clinical Professor of OB/GYN at East Carolina School of Medicine and University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. We are one of the only practices in eastern North Carolina that employees mid-wives to give our patients more options in their pre-natal and delivery experiences.

While the practice has continued to strive to meet the changing needs of woman of all ages, the clinic also provides necessary alternatives and solutions to unique problems presented to women. Most recently, our physicians have been trained and are utilizing the da Vinci Surgery system, helping women find relief from heavy periods, removal of fibroid tumors, hysterectomies and vaginal and uterine prolapse.

The Crist Clinic for Women offers an all encompassing scope of care for the modern women. We have three full-time on staff OB/GYN physicians.

We specialize in obstetrics and gynecology, which includes the examination, diagnosis, prevention and treatment of women's health problems. All of the physicians have completed at least four years of special training after medical school and take courses regularly to keep up with the latest advances in women's care.

In addition to standard specialty care in obstetrics and gynecology, we offer evaluation and management of infertility, gynecologic urology, menopausal management, endoscopic and laser surgery, medically or surgically complicated obstetrics, mammography and ultrasonography.
