Dr. Crist, a long time champion of women’s issues, opened The Crist Clinic for Women in 1973. He is a Clinical Assistant Professor at both University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and East Carolina School of Medicine.
He has authored many publications and eight books in English, as well as one in Greek. In May 1998, Dr. Crist received the prestigious Ellis Island Award, recognizing him as an outstanding citizen who has distinguished himself in his ethnic group and has made significant contributions to this country.

Janis Cox is a Certified Nurse Midwife and is an Onslow County Native. She has practiced midwifery for many years and has been a phenomenal addition to the Crist Clinic for Women. She provides prenatal care for our obstetrical patients, as well as specialized care and delivery.
